ESET Named Finalist for AeA High Tech Awards Top Ranking Further Validates ESET’s NOD32 Antivirus Software
SAN DIEGO – Sept. 27, 2006 – ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, today announced it has been named a finalist in the software/Internet category for the AeA San Diego 13th Annual High Tech Awards. The awards are given to San Diego-based companies that have demonstrated technological or business innovation, marketplace validation and have made significant contributions to the San Diego community.
“ESET is extremely pleased to have been named a finalist for the AeA High Tech Awards,” said Rick Moy, vice president of marketing at ESET, LLC. “This nomination is further validation of ESET’s ThreatSense technology and our commitment to providing enterprises and consumers with best-of-class proactive threat solutions.”
ESET was also recently awarded top honors for its advanced heuristics technology based on the results of a recent test conducted by AV-Comparatives. ESET’s software utilizes ThreatSense® technology, a sophisticated detection system based on advanced heuristics, to proactively identify previously unknown viruses, Trojans, spyware and phishing attacks in real-time. ThreatSense is built into NOD32’s single scanning engine to provide comprehensive protection so users do not need to rely on additional point solutions for spyware and adware protection.
In recent news, ESET was also named the #5 fastest growing privately held company in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal.
