The Release Candidate for ESET Mobile Antivirus is now available to the public for testing and feedback. This release adds the following new features and functionality:

SMS Spam filter - blocks unwanted text messages
user interface improvements for ease of use
improved stability and compatibility across a wide range of mobile devices

Please provide ESET with any feedback using the channels described below.

ESET Mobile Antivirus is a new anti-virus program for smart phones and PDAs with a feature set similar to ESET NOD32 Antivirus, however, as a mobile program it does not have the exact same feature set as its desktop counterpart, and it will, of course, diverge, as more Windows Mobile-specific functionality is added.

ESET Mobile Antivirus currently provides on-access protection and the ability to run on-demand scans. Additional features and functionality will appear in subsequent builds.

NOTE: This version of ESET Mobile Antivirus is being released to help us test for compatibility on a wide range of devices and with other software packages. This software may cause crashes and data loss. Do not install it on any device which has not been first backed up, and understand that you may need to perform a hard reset of your device to resume operation.

ESET Mobile Antivirus is compatible with PDAs and SmartPhones running Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6. Support for other devices and operating systems may be added in future releases.
