ESET to Exhibit at CeBIT 2011: Presentation of ESET Mobile Security for Android, Beta version; Sneak peek of ESET Smart Security 5

BRATISLAVA – Starting Tuesday, March 1st 2011, ESET, the leader in proactive protection will exhibit at world’s largest computer technology trade show and expo in Hannover, Germany (March 1st - March 5th). ESET will present a new product for the Android platform - ESET Mobile Security, and offer a preview of the 5th generation of ESET Smart Security for Windows.

"Even though the mobile operating systems for smartphones are relatively stable, it is only a matter of time for security holes to appear and be exploited by malware writers. There is no such thing as a 100 % secure platform, either when it comes to computers or mobile devices. ESET has a dedicated team of experts devoting time and energy to developing security solutions for these platforms,” said ESET CEO Richard Marko.

Richard Marko will appear at the CeBIT “Importance of Security” panel debate (Wednesday March 2nd, 2011, 10:45 - 11:30). Joining him will be five high-profile speakers from Gartner, Kaspersky Labs, G Data, POST AG and AGT International. “This debate has made it apparent that any business model based on Cloud Computing can only be successful if users are convinced that the privacy and security of their data is ensured. What do providers need to offer and what do users need to be mindful of?” outlines the CeBIT intro to this event. The discussion will be streamed live on CeBIT website and Twitter feed will allow online users to ask questions. Updates will be provided on the official ESET Facebook fanpage as well.

Thomas Uhlemann, Chief Education Manager at DATSEC, ESET partner in Germany will discuss threats and security, comparing three major operating systems: Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. This event will be held everyday during CeBIT (March 1st - March 5th) and will be streamed live online Friday, March 4th, 2011 (in German).

At CeBIT, ESET will offer sneak peek preview of the next generation of its flagship security solutions, ESET Smart Security 5, making the BETA version available for public testing in the first half of 2011. The final version will include features like parental control will help protect children from unsuitable web content, while the improved behavioral analysis technology will actively monitor operating memory for any suspicious behavior. Additionally, ESET’s early warning network, ThreatSense.Net numbering millions of participating users worldwide will be streamlined to provide ESET users with instantaneous layer of security.

CeBIT will also see presentation of the RC version of ESET Mail Security 4 for Microsoft Exchange server in German language, the first localized version of this product. ESET’s booth at CeBIT – “The Heart of the Digital World”   -  complements the expo’s motto: “Digital technologies are the main artery through which business and private life flow.“
