ESET‘s CEO Miroslav Trnka included in CRN Top 25 most innovative executives

CRN, leading international IT trade magazine, has recognized ESET‘s CEO Miroslav Trnka among the most innovative managers in the field of information technology. In the list of 25 executives, Mr. Trnka ranked fourth. “No one has delivered better technology to snuff out viruses. For 20 years no one has come close. He's got the technical know-how and channel commitment,” CRN said.

INF/Autorun is the most often detected threat worldwide

The ranking of global threats is led by INF/Autorun with an overall share of 5.75%, followed by Win32/Conficker worm. The latter has registered an increase of nearly 5 percent month-to-month. Moreover, ESET’s automatic malware collection system has registered an increase of the file infector Win32/Sality (2.19%).

ESET Received its 64th Award by Virus Bulletin; Highest RAP Detection Score

The test conducted by independent British magazine Virus Bulletin (VB) assessed the performance of 38 security products based on the effectiveness of antimalware protection. Only 28 of the entered products received the VB100 Award, which is given for detecting all In-the-Wild viruses , with zero false positive count..This performance has secured ESET  its overall  64th VB100 Award.
