Yerg is a 120 bytes long memory resident COM infector. This miniature virus installs itself into the free space in the table of interrupts vectors. It infects files when they are being opened. In the virus body the following text string is visible

The virus does not operate under DR DOS; when a file is executed the virus alters registers what may be a source of problems. Infection of files shorter that 3 bytes or longer that 65415 bytes does not operate properly. This virus is more a laboratory experiment that a real threat. It comes from Russia and its author is Vladimir V. Medeiko from Saint Petersburg.
