Selected viruses, spyware, and other threats: sorted alphabetically

The Taipan family of viruses comes probably from Sweden. They are all resident EXE infectors hooking the interrupt INT 21h.

These viruses are simple, resident EXE infectors. They contain the following texts:

Taipan.438: [Whisper presenterar Tai-Pan]

Taipan.666
This virus is of “satanic” length of 666 bytes and is also nicknamed DOOM II DEATH because it contains the following strings:

DOOM2.EXE Your version of DOOM2.EXE matches the illegal RAZOR release of DOOM Say bye-bye HD
The programmer of DOOM II DEATH is in no way affiliated with ID software. ID software is in no way affiliated with DOOM II DEATH.

This virus is a simple, memory resident EXE infector. It infects only programs containing in their header MZ (DOS permits also ZM) and files not longer than 64768 bytes. The virus does not alter time nor date of files origin. The attribute Read Only will discourage the virus from its infecting activity.
