This is an encrypted, resident EXE infector. When an infected file is executed the virus is installed into memory. It reserves an 1120 bytes large block, specified as a system one, and copies itself into it. It redirects the interrupts INT 21h and INT 10h service to its code. For its purposes the virus uses the interrupt INT 91h instead of the interrupt INT 21h. It ensures that the INT 91h has the same function. The virus attacks a file when it is executed or closed. The virus contains a code which depending on the internal counter overwrites the contents of disk B:. In the virus body are encrypted the following text strings:
smartc*.cps chklist.*
-=*@DIE_LAMER@*=-
CHKLIST ???
CHKLIST.CPS
