  • 3-in-1 Protection—New antivirus & antispam modules for all user mailboxes plus host server antivirus protection.
  • New Advanced Setup Tree—Intuitive navigation with "Server Protection" settings to administer mail server protection and "Computer Protection" settings to handle malware and infiltrations on the host machine.
  • Spam Log, Greylisting Log & Enhanced Log Viewer—Spam and greylisting logs are included in an enhanced log viewer and provide more detailed results such as: sender, recipient, spam score, classification reason and action taken. The log viewer now offers the option to search and sort log file entries.
  • Improved Antispam Engine—From a comprehensive GUI, users can fine tune their preferences with more precision.
  • Automatic Exclusions—Automatically detects and excludes critical server files from scanning resulting in smoother operation. All required exclusions can now be set based on installed software used and desired server roles.

  • Improved Antivirus and Antispyware—ESET's ThreatSense® scanning engine analyzes code for malicious behavior and proactively detects malware such as viruses, spyware, adware, phishing and more. Multi-thread processing enables more efficient server CPU utilization.
  • SMTP & Database level scanning—Protecting end-user mailboxes from infected emails, the LMON integration plug-in scans the transport layer on the SMTP gateway and also regularly scans email data stored on the Domino Server.
  • Advanced Anti-Spam Protection—Optimized for both high performance and a small system footprint, the antispam engine integrates multiple technologies to ensure maximum detection of email threats. These include RBL, DNSBL, Fingerprinting, Reputation checking, Content analysis, Bayesian filtering, Rules, manual whitelisting/blacklisting and others.
  • Greylisting—Greylisting serves as an additional (optional) layer of protection to significantly limit spam sent to the server or delivered to user mailboxes. When an email from an unrecognized sender is received, it is temporarily refused by the server and only forwarded to the destination mailbox after it is automatically re-sent by the originating server, considered proof of the email's legitimacy.
  • Anti-Stealth Technology—ESET Mail Security for IBM Lotus Domino includes ESET's proven antirootkit technology also used in ESET Smart Security® 5 and ESET NOD32® Antivirus 5.
  • Centralized Management—ESET Mail Security for IBM Lotus Domino is fully compatible with ESET Remote Administrator, enabling remote administration and configuration of email security in a networked environment.

*You must uninstall the current Beta version before installing this RC version.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Nonfunctional rollback of installation if the repair process is cancelled (if the repair process is started and interrupted, installation does not revert to the original state). EMSL plugin is not registered in the notes.ini file. Therefore, it is not recommended to use the "repair" functionality in the installer.
  • In-product help is not available for some sections of "Antispam engine setup".
