ESET, the leader in proactive protection celebrating 25 years of its technology this year, announces the release of ESET Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server BETA, another addition to its current server product portfolio. The new BETA product is built on the same base as the ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server, with the addition of a dedicated SharePoint protection component. With this server security solution, customers will be able to apply complex security settings for real-time, on-access scanning and to perform deep, on-demand, scheduled scans of the entire SharePoint data store. The product also includes rule-based filtering that, which allows users to specify which files are automatically scanned to optimize resource utilization.

In the current BETA testing stage, ESET Remote Administrator console does not support ESET Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server.  However, ESET is working on the integration to the console and plans to have it available for release in the second quarter of 2013.
