ESET Sponsors Fourth Annual Alpha Project Charity Golf Classic

ESET, the global leader in proactive digital protection with a record of 10 consecutive years of VB100 awards for its award-winning NOD32® technology, today announced it is sponsoring and participating in the Alpha Project’s Fourth Annual Charity Golf Classic. The event is being held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort and Spa in San Diego on Friday, September 27.

“Alpha Project would like to thank ESET for their on-going support,”said Bob McElroy, president and CEO of Alpha Project.  “We are really excited to have them participate in our tournament this year.”

All proceeds from the event go to the Alpha Project, a nonprofit human services organization that serves more than 4,000 men, women and children in the San Diego community each day. The organization provides work, recovery and support services to individuals who are motivated to change their lives and achieve self-sufficiency.

“At ESET, we are strong believers in giving back to a community that has allowed our business to call San Diego home for 14 years,” said Andrew Lee, CEO of ESET. “We are proud to sponsor and participate in an event that gives back to those in our community at a time when they need it most.”

ESET executives will be on hand at the event to participate in the Corporate Challenge. In addition to ESET’s participation in this annual event, company employees also frequently volunteer their time at the Alpha Project Shelter, serving lunch or dinner to  guests, and participating in the organization’s biannual clothing drives.

At this year’s event, ESET will also be giving out 150 six month licenses for its flagship antivirus product, ESET Smart Security 6. At the end of the day, the Corporate Challenge winner will be awarded a trophy, the right to house the company logo on the Alpha Project site for one year and a catered 20-person lunch from Alpha Project‘s catering program.
