ESET Sponsors Shark Summer at Birch Aquarium at Scripps

GoExplore.net Initiative to Support Shark-themed Public Activities and Oceanographic Research

May 15, 2014 – ESET®, the global leader in proactive digital protection, today announced a collaboration with Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, to support its Shark Summer program as a part of ESET’s GoExplore.net initiative which curates the best of the web’s content and encourages consumers to explore the web safely.

The Shark Summer program at Birch Aquarium at Scripps offers shark activities for all ages, field excursions, and exclusive interactions with leading shark researchers. Shark Summer also features three Science, Exploration & Adventure SEA Days that offer the opportunity to interact with local sharks and the scientists studying them.

ESET will be supporting the work of Andy Nosal, Ph.D., marine biologist at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and DeLaCour Postdoctoral Fellow in Ecology & Conservation at Birch Aquarium at Scripps, and producing a video about Nosal’s leopard shark research. The resulting video will be shown at Birch Aquarium and featured on GoExplore.net. Additionally, GoExplore.net will be sponsoring ongoing shark education events throughout the summer.
