ESET NOD32 Antivirus One of Four to Receive AV-comparatives Advanced+ Rating

In a recent report released from AV–comparatives.org, ESET NOD32 is one out of only four antivirus solutions to receive an Advanced+ rating based on results of tests evaluating proactive, on-demand detection of virus/malware, false positive and scanning speed. A total of 15 antivirus solutions were involved in the comparative review. In addition, ESET also won its 41st Virus Bulletin award, extending its industry leading eight-year track record as the vendor with the most awards.

Deer Valley Unified School District Relies on ESET to Protect 6,000 Users

ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, today announced that Deer Valley Unified School District (USD) has selected ESET NOD32 Antivirus software as the default antivirus solution for its 36 K-12 schools located in Phoenix and five neighboring cities. ESET Protects Against Microsoft Media File Vulnerability

ESET, a global provider of security software for enterprises and consumers, announced today that its NOD32 protects against a new Windows Metafile (WMF or .wmf) vulnerability for which Microsoft does not yet have an available resolution. Users running Microsoft Windows ME, 2000, XP and Windows 2003 systems are vulnerable to a “loophole” in WMF which enable cyber criminals to take control of online devices and execute malicious code. With a patch from Microsoft pending for January 10, 2006 at the earliest, ESET has made an interim patch available for both customers and non customers.
