A&A is a resident COM infector with effective length of 506 bytes. The virus will install its resident copy to the upper part of the table of the interrupt vectors. It infects files in such a way that the whole file, which is to be infected, is read into memory. At the beginning of the file the virus writes its body and then the original file contents follows. In the virus body there is the string A&A by which it was given its name.
