Anticmos

Anticmos is a memory resident boot virus. When a user attempts to boot from an infected diskette the virus infects MBR of the hard disk, however it does not become memory resident at this time. Anticmos becomes memory resident when the system is booted from the system hard disk. It will try to infect all un-write protected diskettes. When certain conditions are fulfilled the virus will modify contents of the CMOS memory. There are two slightly different variants of the virus.
