B1

B1 is sometimes also called NYB. It is a resident, stealth, boot virus. It is rather simply and it does not contain any special activities nor texts. When a computer is booted from an infected floppy disk the virus will infect the MBR of hard disk. Then, always when system is executed, the virus will install itself resident at the top of DOS memory. It will redirect the interrupt INT 13h to itself. The virus is able to infect any diskette in the drive which is not write-protected.
