Selected viruses, spyware, and other threats: sorted alphabetically
This is an unusually written boot virus containing a simple stealth. When the system is loaded from an infected diskette the virus installs itself into memory. By an alternation in CMOS memory it suppresses information on the presence of the diskette drive. It means that when an attempt is made to load the system from a diskette, the system will be loaded from the hard disk because the computer “does not know” about the diskette drive existence. The virus attacks all diskettes that are not write-protected.
