Pasta is a stealth boot virus. When the computer system is booted from an infected diskette the virus decreases the amount of memory usable by DOS by 1 KB and installs itself into the memory. It overtakes the interrupts INT 13h and infects the hard disk’s MBR moving the original contents to sector 6 cylinder 0 side 0. Then the virus infects all not write-protected diskettes.
