CompTIA ChannelCon 2018: ESET cybersecurity expert slated to speak on endpoint detection and response (EDR)

Next story

CompTIA, a leading voice and advocate for the 1.5 billion dollar information technology ecosystem, is hosting its annual ChannelCon conference taking place from July 31 to August 2 at The Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.

Attendees will have access to a plethora of events and learning sessions, including one from cybersecurity expert and ESET Senior Security Researcher Stephen Cobb; he will be speaking on “Endpoint Detection and Response: The Next Frontier of Security” on Thursday, August 2, from 11:00am to 12:00pm ET in the Delaware Suite (Lobby Level).

Cobb’s talk will detail the opportunities of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and provide practical advice for channel partners on their use and implementation. Gartner predicts that the EDR market will grow to $1.5 billion by 2020 (an annual growth rate of 45 percent).

Cobb will provide answers to the most commonly asked questions about EDR. What is it? How does it work? How real is this technology? Is EDR the natural evolution of antivirus and endpoint detection?

(Earlier this year, ESET debuted its suite of security products, including ESET Enterprise Inspector, an EDR solution with features and granularity that surpass anything on the market.)
