Today, global IT security firm ESET announced its plans to build a new company headquarters on a 22-acre site in Slovakia, the central European country where the company was founded nearly 30 years ago and the current home of its global headquarters.

The new campus will be designed to house 270,000 square feet of office space for approximately 1,400 employees. The site, formerly occupied by a military hospital, will be completely redesigned with futuristic architecture that will blend into its natural surroundings in one of the greenest areas of Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.

“As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are pleased to tie this milestone with announcing our intentions for our new global headquarters,” said Richard Marko, ESET CEO. “Our goal is to build a global standing that puts us in a very strong position for the next 30 years and beyond. We are immensely proud of our employees and their achievements, and we are confident our new campus in Bratislava will attract many more to ESET, the cybersecurity industry, and to Slovakia itself.”

The future ESET campus will incorporate many features, including modern offices, apartments for visiting international ESET colleagues, an auditorium and multifunction hall, multiple student education facilities, private dining hall, canteens, laboratories, and a health and fitness center.

The new offices also will include a cutting-edge IT security research center that will enable ESET to remain at the forefront of digital security. The company plans to create 800 new jobs and attract professionals from around to globe to come work in the new hub of the cybersecurity industry in the heart of Europe.

Construction of the new ESET global headquarters is expected to be completed by 2022. ESET will be conducting an architectural tender for the final design.
