ESET®, a global pioneer in endpoint security, and Canon IT Solutions (CITS), ESET’s exclusive distribution partner in Japan, announced their joint venture to establish ESET Japan Inc.
Located in Tokyo, the new ESET office, which officially began operations on September 1, 2018, aims to increase market presence and introduce newly developed security solutions to both the enterprise and consumer segments.
“Having established a presence in Japan since 2003, the launch of ESET’s office reinforces our commitment to the development of the country’s cybersecurity landscape and to the innovation of our solutions for the growing needs of our customers,” said ESET Chief Executive Officer Richard Marko.
CITS has been pivotal in establishing ESET’s presence in the country and will continue to work together with ESET, as its exclusive partner, to strengthen ESET’s position as a lightweight and highly effective security solution for consumers and businesses.
ESET Japan will be led by Hiroya Kuroda, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in the IT software sector in the Japanese market.
