“Next-Gen” Cybersecurity, Exposed: Fighting Post-Truth with Facts

Next story

At a point in history where information is more accessible than ever before and facts can be easily checked, it’s ironic that misinformation is proliferating.

As ESET security researcher Ondrej Kubovic writes, “The world is changing in front of our eyes. Where facts, truth and honesty were once our most valuable assets, nowadays alternative facts, post-truths and outright lies reign. Unfortunately, the cybersecurity business is no exception to this trend.”

A prime example, Kubovic adds, is recent marketing that touts artificial intelligence, “next-generation” security and machine learning as magic bullets.

Kubovic, a contributor to ESET’s WeLiveSecurity blog, is hosting a webinar devoted to the topic, which he has written extensively about.

Join this webinar to learn:

  • Fundamentals of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Common misconceptions about ML, “next-gen” technologies and AI
  • Why ML-based security doesn’t scare intelligent adversaries
  • Why today’s threats demand multilayered protection

A brief Q&A will be included.
