Cybersecurity Industry Veteran Tony Anscombe Joins ESET

Today, cybersecurity veteran, Tony Anscombe joins ESET® as the Global Security Evangelist and Industry Partnerships Ambassador. The new role serves to increase ESET’s Global public awareness initiatives and strengthen relationships with new and existing partners.

“Having an established cybersecurity expert such as Tony representing ESET, increases our ability to deliver the most useful security information to influential industry groups and media,” said ESET Chief Technology Officer, Juraj Malcho. “Combining Tony’s wealth of industry knowledge and considerable experience also adds depth and dimension to ESET’s public awareness programs and will strengthen our relationships with industry partners.”

Anscombe joins ESET from Avast (which acquired his former employer AVG) where he held the title of Senior Security Evangelist, also leading their industry relationships and product compliance team. With over 25 years of IT security experience, he is a well-known figure among members in the industry.

Anscombe, a regular speaker at global events including Mobile World Congress, CTIA, and RSA, is a recognized media commentator on issues surrounding privacy, security, child internet safety, as well as viruses and online threats. His advisory commentary and guidance to the public on a wide range of internet security topics advance ESET’s vision of enabling everyone to enjoy safer technology.
