Virus Bulletin Test: ESET NOD32 Antivirus Uses Minimum System Resources

Next story

Virus Bulletin test conducted on the Windows Server 2008 R2 platform has brought  62nd VB100 Award, and at the same time,  makes ESET the holder of the most consecutive awards of this kind in the industry – 45 in total.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2 was tested to demonstrate its reliability in protecting businesses and being a reliable partner for IT administrators across a range of corporate environments.

Approximately one-third of al products submitted for testing failed and thus could not even compete to receive a VB100 recognition. According to John Hawes, Director of testing at VB, such unreliability is particularly significant on server platforms, where administrators require absolute trustworthiness and total trackability of all activities.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus demonstrated conclusively not only that it is a reliable product, but also in terms of the lowest memory usage. John Hawes commented on the results: "... memory usage was fairly low. Detections rates were excellent, showing a continuation of the upward trend seen in the last few tests.”

The 4.2 version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition, as well as  ESET Smart Security Business Edition are available since March 2010.  Both deliver a ballanced mix of security features to help reliably and effectively protect middle-sized and large organizations against all types of malware. What’s more,  the integrated ESET Remote Administrator tool provides for simple administration and security oversight of  endpoints in a corporate environment  ̵  all from a single console.
