ESET joins forces with Tennis Canada to create inaugural Tech and Tennis Day at Rogers Cup presented by National Bank

ESET, a global leader in cybersecurity, is proud to be taking centre court this summer thanks to a new agreement to serve as the official software security partner of Canada’s top tennis tournament, Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, taking place August 5-13, 2017 at Aviva Centre in Toronto and August 4-13, 2017 at Uniprix Stadium in Montreal.

What’s more, as part of ESET’s commitment to continuous IT security innovation, the company has joined forces with Tennis Canada to create the inaugural Tech and Tennis Day presented by ESET, which will see some of the most influential names in sports, media and technology come together to discuss the ever-changing role of technology in business and society.

Taking place at Aviva Centre in Toronto on August 10, Tech and Tennis Day will feature a morning of tech talks and panel discussions, proceeded by an afternoon of watching some of the best women’s tennis players in the world at the Rogers Cup tournament.

Hosted by tech-guru and TV host Amber Mac, Tech and Tennis Day will include talks from distinguished keynote speakers like Michele Romanow from Dragon’s Den, recognized MBA professor and tech venture capitalist Chris Haroun, and chief strategy officer at Diply, Kirstine Stewart. Topics will include the role of technology in analytics, customer engagement, CRM and database marketing in sports and other industries, and the importance of women in STEM fields.

“ESET is built upon a culture of continual IT innovation that’s fostered through the sharing of great ideas,” said Country Manager at ESET Canada, Iva Peric-Lightfoot. “This is one of the many reasons we’re so excited about partnering with Tennis Canada for Tech and Tennis Day presented by ESET. This is a truly unique event that will bring together great minds around important discussions about our relationship with technology, analytics, and women in STEM fields today.”

Tech and Tennis Day and the sponsorship of both Rogers Cup events in Toronto and Montreal is the latest component of “ESET’s 30 Years of Continuous IT Security Innovation” year-long campaign, which includes worldwide technology and consumer events that pay homage to ESET’s storied past, and ongoing work to continue innovating and helping people protect their digital worlds in the next 30 years to come.

“ESET is one of the world’s foremost cybersecurity providers, and we are so pleased to be partnering with them at this year’s Rogers Cup,” said Costa Kladianos, Director of IT, Tennis Canada. “Tech and Tennis Day is a very exciting, new and unique initiative and we know with the help of ESET it will be a great success. We look forward to bringing together many industry leaders in the technology, media, and sports fields to inspire innovation, discussion, and engagement.”

From its modest beginnings as a small startup in 1987, ESET has quickly developed into a trusted global cybersecurity vendor serving businesses in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. With the continuing mission of making the digital world a safer place, the cybersecurity company has expanded the scope of its offerings from malware protection to emerging areas of IT security including encryption, threat intelligence, data backup and patch management, along with others.

ESET’s success is built upon the company’s unique balance of business, technology and most importantly, its people. While ESET is continuously evolving to deliver best in-class cybersecurity solutions for the future, the company’s core values and purpose will always remain the same - to create a safer digital world where everyone can enjoy the breathtaking opportunities technology has to offer.

“The courage, integrity, passion and professional development of ESET employees are the cornerstones of ESET’s growth and advancement in the technological as well as the business sphere,” said Juraj Malcho, Chief Technology Officer at ESET.
