ESET is the 11th fastest growing technology company in the region of Central Europe – covering 10 countries, including fast developing ones in the Balkan region. According to this year’s ranking by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe, ESET has registered a 951% growth within the past 5 years and is the fastest growing technology firm in Slovakia.

The announcing ceremony took place in newly-opened offices of Deloitte in Bratislava’s Digital Park. On the occasion of ESET winning the award, its CEO Miroslav Trnka has thanked the company’s dedicated staff and partners and added: "I see the positioning of ESET among the fastest growing technology firms as a result of a combination of excellent work of its employees in developing a high-performing and award-winning security software and the continual growth of this industry, which leads to gaining the trust of more customers across households and corporations in ESET’s products."

Aside from announcing the award in the main category, Deloitte also gave awards in the newly-established "Big 5“ category recognizing companies exceeding the annual turnover of 25 million EUR. ESET has placed second in this category.

ESET has appeared for the first time in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 CE in 2002 and has been named regularly in top spots ever since. The winners are determined based on the percent increase of revenue over a 5-year period (2004-2008). To qualify, companies need to have turnover of at least 50,000 Euros. Entrants can be public or private companies and be located in Central Europe. The major business of an entrant must be based on technology innovations developed or owned by an entrant. Subsidiaries of strategic (industry) investors/parents do not qualify.
