ESET®, a global pioneer in IT security for more than two decades, today publicly shares some opinions of the testers who tried the beta versions of ESET Smart Security 9 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 9, giving insights on such things as updated GUI, Banking & Payment Protection feature or trademark low system footprint.
“Thanks to feedback from our huge group of beta testers on Centercode we have collected a pack of valuable information. We carefully reviewed all ideas and suggestions and currently our developers are implementing improvements the final product,” says Martin Semjan, Product Manager for Consumer Products at ESET.
The redesigned GUI have been praised a lot during the beta testing phase. It scored as “simplified” and “easy to use” while keeping the low system footprint. “It detects potentially unwanted programs and any malware before I can even execute them,” says Wilfred Unger, Beta tester from Centercode testing platform.
Overall, beta testers were satisfied with standard, unchanged level of protection without slowing down the computer. After week of testing Kor Rogers, another of ESET Beta Program members, wrote: “On my computer - Windows 8.1 everything is running smoothly and I have had no problems. It does not seem to slow anything down.”
