According to the Singapore Police Force’ Annual Scams and Cybercrime Brief 2024, the number of scam and cybercrime cases increased by 10.8% year over year to 55,810 cases in 2024, with $1.1 billion lost. Among the top five types of scams were phishing and malware-enabled scams, highlighting the urgent need for stronger cybersecurity measures. ESET’s APAC SMB Cybersecurity Report 2024 further highlighted that 65% of small and medium businesses in Singapore faced a breach or incident within the past 12 months.
