Thorough initial assessment
The service starts with an assessment of the customer's environment, based on interviews with key employees. This phase lets us create a profile for each customer so that the threat hunting service can bring most benefits. We consider this to be the most important part of the process.
Root cause analysis
Threat hunting goes much deeper than just identifying whether a specific object is malicious or not. Our threat hunting team reviews highlighted alarms and follows the trail of events that preceded them in order to establish the root cause and then eliminate it.
Actionable advice
Our threat hunting team is highly trained at finding contextual information and applying the results to real world situations. They review alarms and compile their findings in a comprehensible status report as well as providing actionable advice to the organization.

Based on the level of subscription, Threat Hunting is performed on-demand or on a regular basis. A one-off run is suitable for companies who run their own instance of our EDR tool, ESET Enterprise Inspector. Repeated hunting is part of our highest MDR service, ESET Detection and Response Ultimate.
