SAN DIEGO — September, 14 2016 —TodayESET® announced it will now offer a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) suite with the addition of Safetica to its Technology Alliance.

Safetica’s DLP solution defends companies against planned or accidental data leaks, malicious insider actions, productivity issues, BYOD dangers and more. Interested customers can now purchase Safetica solutions in North America via ESET partners.

In Ernst & Young‘s Global Information Security Survey 2015, 56 percent of respondents defined data loss prevention as a high priority for their organization over the next 12 months. Safetica solves this issue and provides a full DLP suite that covers a wide range of security threats that originate from a common source: the human factor.

“Former and current employees are the most common factor for 63 percent of all security incidents companies are confronted with,” said Peter Žikeš, CEO of Safetica. “At Safetica, we provide a full-fledged corporate level Data Loss Prevention solution with complete activity reports that warn against any suspicious behavior.”

DLP software identifies, monitors and protects data in use, data in motion on networks, and data at rest in data storage areas or desktops, laptops, mobile phones and tablets to prevent potential data breaches and data ex-filtration transmissions. It also mitigates the risk of financial loss due to data being sent outside the company via email, copy and paste, removable storage, printing, uploading, mobile devices or theft. In addition to thorough protection against data loss, the software detects dangerous or unproductive behavior of employees.

“Our goal at ESET is to make technology easier and more accessible,” said Gerald Choung, VP of sales and marketing for ESET North America. “That is why the ESET Technology Alliance matters: it makes it easier for partners and customers to get the best IT solutions all in one place.”

Launched in 2013, the ESET Technology Alliance is an integration partnership that aims to better protect businesses by offering a range of complementary IT security solutions. All members of the ESET Technology Alliance are carefully vetted against a set of established criteria to extend “best-in-class” business protection across IT environments. Members include companies such as StorageCraft, a leader in back-up and recovery, and DesLock + Data Encryption.
