SAN DIEGO - ESET®, the pioneer of proactive digital protection, will showcase the best of its award-winning solutions for mobile platforms and share new security survey findings next week at Mobile World Congress (MWC).

Ahead of MWC, ESET today released survey findings that provide insight into the cyber threats that most concern and affect businesses. Conducted among attendees of various IT expos, as well as ESET’s own worldwide series of ESET Security Days, the survey includes feedback from more than 1,700 IT professionals in 11 countries and regions of EMEA.

One of the most notable findings in the report is that malware infections are reported as the most frequent security incident, as indicated by 58 percent of all respondents. Perhaps more surprising is the fact that firms are not paying enough attention to mobile security, with only 21 percent of them using a mobile security solution. This is a topic that will be addressed by ESET during MWC. For more about the findings, download the report at ESET.com or read the blogpost here: http://www.welivesecurity.com/2016/02/16/biggest-fears-of-emea-companies-malware-ranks-first/

Raphael Labaca Castro, the editor-in-chief of ESET’s research and news platform WeLiveSecurity.com, will be holding presentations twice daily at ESET’s MWC booth, B05 in Hall 5. He will discuss the mobile threatscape, findings from ESET’s 2015 business surveys report, and share key highlights of “Android Ransomware on the Rise,” a whitepaper that will be made public ahead of MWC by the ESET Research lab.

MWC attendees will also be able to get a first-hand look at ESET products, witness live demos and talk to ESET product experts and top security researchers at the ESET Booth. Visitors can also try out ESET Parental Control for Android, ESET’s recently-released app that helps parents protect their children in cyberspace, and ESET Mobile Security, its flagship security solution for Android; and learn more about its new, tailor-made program for Managed Service Providers. ESET Mobile Security, which just received a major endorsement, by emerging top in a test by Germany’s Stiftung Warentest. ESET will also be sharing news about its business solutions for Managed Service Providers and about ESET Secure Authentication, its two-factor authentication solution, at the show.
