Why educators love ESET

Next story

ESET provides security and data protection to many schools and educational institutes, here’s what a few of those happy customers had to say about the level of service offered.

Abbotswood Junior School

Abbotswood previously used another antivirus solution which was supplied through the local education authority. However, the school found this to be very resource heavy therefore slowing down the entire school network. A situation arose where Abbotswood needed to review their anti-virus solution at the same time as upgrading their entire IT system. The decision was taken to move away from the local authority and at this point an alternative antivirus solution was sought.

Reliable anti-virus protection, a light system footprint and a high-level of IT security were all important factors for Abbotswood, all of which ESET’s range of security solutions could provide. When asked about the move to ESET, Aaron Skeels, ICT Technician commented “At Abbotswood Junior School, we knew that we needed a reliable anti-virus solution that would keep our network safe and secure. ESET was recommended to us and we have been very happy with how it has performed so far”.

Brighton College

Brighton College’s previous antivirus system was unnecessarily complex in areas where it should be intuitive. When it came to switching to ESET Wayne Govier, Network Manager, had this to say.

“I find the management console very intuitive and hardly need to refer to the manual at all. It is also very flexible in its use and every aspect is clearly laid out. When we first changed over to Endpoint Antivirus we had the entire product installed and rolled out onto the network in no time at all problem free. Since then we’ve not had much to do with it. The product manages itself more or less and I receive email alerts should there be any queries or a problem.”

Court Moor School

ESET met all the requirements for Court Moor School’s IT security and provided the reliability and support that was so important to them. “After a very serious virus incident we spoke to a number of other anti-virus companies, as our incumbent was failing to handle the problem”, explains Mark Taylor, Network Manager at Court Moor School. “ESET were the only company to offer help, and then went on to provide significant support, all based on just using the free trial.”

Newbridge High School Academy Trust

After the WannaCry ransomware outbreak, Newbridge High School Academy Trust decided they needed to review their anti-virus supplier to ensure they were receiving the highest possible level of protection for their network. On review, they decided that their current anti-virus did not offer enough protection and they needed to look for an alternative solution.

The team at Newbridge High School Academy Trust were already familiar with ESET’s range of security solutions. “I’d previously used ESET on the recommendation of Downtown Computers, one of my favoured and most trusted suppliers”, explains Josh Wilson, Network Manager at Newbridge High School Academy Trust. “ESET is a great product at a fantastic price, I feel happier knowing we are fully protected with this powerful solution.”
