New Version Includes Mac OS® Compatibility, Cloud and On-Premise Enhancements

ESET®, a global pioneer in proactive IT security for more than two decades, today launched a new version of the ESET Remote Administrator® Plug-in for Kaseya® VSA™ at Kaseya’s global annual partner conference, Kaseya Connect 2016. The updated ERA Plug-in can now be deployed via Mac OS® X, and comes with enhanced cloud and on-premise capabilities.

“ESET works to provide deployment and management flexibility for our channel partners and customers,” said Gerald Choung, Vice President of Sales at ESET. “With this Plug-in, MSPs can provide superior security protection for their network of managed clients already utilizing Kaseya VSA on Windows or Mac platforms.”

ESET’s Remote Administrator Plug-in allows an administrator to manage ESET endpoints from within the familiar Kaseya VSA Console. The Plug-in seamlessly automates and simplifies tasks and frees up technician time for other IT projects. The latest updates to the Plug-in include several user-requested feature enhancements including (but not limited to) reporting of Windows Security Center currently installed AV, the ability to filter Kaseya clients during policy and notification assignment, and the creation of on-demand product activation tasks. In addition, deployment of ESET products via the plug-in has been extended to include ESET’s suite of Mac products.

“Kaseya VSA provides an open platform which provides customers more security options than ever before when it comes to protecting their computers, devices and files,” said Mike Puglia, Chief Product Officer for Kaseya. “ESET is an excellent provider of threat detection and prevention and we are happy that this new plug-in makes it easier than ever for Kaseya customers to manage their ESET products from the VSA  platform.”

ESET is demonstrating the ERA Plug-in at Kaseya Connect 2016 in Carlsbad, Calif. this week. ESET Senior Security Researcher Stephen Cobb is also participating in a panel at the conference on Wednesday, May 4, from 10:45 a.m. -12 p.m. The panel, titled “Security Expert Panel: Addressing Your Customers’ Cybersecurity Concerns,” will be moderated by Kaseya CTO Dana Epp and will discuss cybersecurity threats and best practices for businesses.
