Keystone U.S. Small Business Administration Event Audience Will Learn Best Practices for Protecting Data, Devices and Systems
ESET®, a global pioneer in proactive digital protection for more than two decades, announced today that ESET Senior Security Researcher Stephen Cobb will be speaking on a cybersecurity-focused panel at the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) annual National Small Business Week (NSBW) keystone event in Washington, D.C. on Monday, May 2. Joined by executives from Microsoft, ADP and The National Institute of Standards and Technology, Cobb will share pressing cybersecurity issues faced by small businesses and practical steps they should take to stay protected against the latest cyberthreats.
“Small businesses are an attractive target for cybercriminals because they often handle the same sensitive data and information that larger enterprises do, but often lack the sophisticated security protocols of those organizations,” said Cobb. “It’s critical that small business owners take the time to identify what data and devices they have that may be at risk, put solutions in place to protect that information and continue to reassess their strategy on an ongoing basis.”
