Stronger threat response.
Lighter workload for your team.

See the latest results from the demanding 2026 AV-Comparatives Endpoint Prevention and Response Test.

Seven years. Seven EPR certifications.

ESET has achieved certification in every edition of the EPR Test since it began in 2020.

Improved performance. Reduced operational impact.

ESET strengthened its position in 2026, combining strong prevention and response performance with lower modelled operational impact.

Strong security outcomes. Lighter operational burden.

Organisations looking to further reduce the day-to-day workload of their security teams can complement technology with expert-led monitoring and response.

The Enterprise EPR CyberRisk Quadrant™ considers not only breach prevention effectiveness but also operational accuracy and workflow efficiency.

The model applies a standardised operational impact framework based on a hypothetical enterprise with 5,000 client PCs over a five-year period.

What does it take to become EPR certified?

92%+ performance.
Low operational impact.

Products need an average score of at least 92% across Active and Passive Response, while maintaining low operational impact suitable for enterprise-scale deployments.

50 attacks.
Three critical phases.

All tested products were subjected to 50 targeted attack scenarios across three critical phases:

  • Endpoint Compromise and Foothold
  • Internal Propagation
  • Asset Breach

Each product was evaluated on whether it automatically blocked the attack (active response) or provided actionable intelligence for manual intervention (passive response). If an attack was not blocked in one phase, the scenario continued to the next. The test also examined each product’s ability to take remedial action and collect indicators of compromise in an accessible and actionable way.

Testing for an evolving threat landscape.

AV-Comparatives used AI-assisted techniques to develop testing tools and scenario variations, helping reflect emerging attacker capabilities and evolving attack patterns.
