ESET, a global leader in digital security, today announced the latest round of strategic updates to the ESET PROTECT Platform that are designed to improve user experience and deliver next-gen cybersecurity features that enable businesses, channel partners and enterprises to protect against advanced threats.
Email has remained a top attack vector for organizations who remain susceptible to malware, phishing, spam, Business Email Compromise (BEC) and more. ESET has expanded its ESET Cloud Office Security (ECOS) offering to include Google Workspace. This allows Gmail and Google Drive users to benefit from an extra layer of advanced protection and defend against cyber threats that often slip through standard built-in security features. For instance, in the first ten months of 2023, ECOS effectivity detected and blocked over 1 million email threats, over 500,000 phishing emails, and over 30 million spam emails. ECOS also detected and stopped tens of thousands of threats in cloud storage and collaboration tools like OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint. With this multitenant and scalable offering, both Microsoft and Google tenants can be viewed and managed from the same console.
ESET’s mission is to empower our customers with the tools they need to excel in today's dynamic cybersecurity landscape. Additional new features include:
Automatic Incident Creator is being released as a new upgrade on ESET Inspect, which features AI-powered detection to help IT administrators reduce the time spent on incident investigation and resolution. This offering includes new detection rules, automated resolution capabilities, support for SHA Hashes in script exclusions, and a 5x faster query execution. For example, the Automatic Incident Creator in ESET Inspect is a game-changer for businesses as it significantly streamlines the incident resolution and investigation process.
ESET has launched a new Threat Intelligence Portal that provides users a fully automated experience. The portal presents an intuitive view of ESET APT and Threat Reports, the latest research blogs and podcasts, and relevant infographics. If subscribed, users can view private reports compiled by ESET Research upon request. It also now features live updates from WeLiveSecurity, Twitter, and previews of unacquired feeds/reports. Prospective customers can also open a demo account, allowing them to experience the platform for free.
Finally, ESET re-introduced ESET PSA Plugin, which is exclusively cloud-based and supports Datto Autotask and ConnectWise Manage PSA software. The new plugin streamlines billing and invoicing for MSPs by providing the ability to track license usage reported by the ESET MSP Administrator console and directly create billing adjustments. Additionally, new ticketing functionality allows MSPs to handle alerts from endpoints more easily, creating dynamic groups of computers, setting alerts based on the group’s information, determining severity, and selecting the queues and priorities for displaying alerts within the PSA. All these features aim to streamline the process and time spent on tickets for MSPs, while reducing system load.
