Our second layer of protection built into ESET Mail Security provides detection of suspicious or malicious attachments to prevent users from being infected.
Anti-phishing
Prevents users from accessing phishing websites by filtering emails with malicious links. It can detect links with homoglyphs encoded in Punycode, where letters are swapped with similar-looking deceptive ones from different alphabets to impersonate well-known brands. These emails are flagged as phishing to protect users.
Rules
ESET’s comprehensive rule system allows administrators to manually define email filtering conditions and actions to take with the filtered emails.
Hybrid Microsoft 365 scanning
Enables businesses with a hybrid Exchange environment to scan Microsoft 365 remote mailboxes and public folders, similar to a traditional mailbox database scan. It also supports scanning remote mailboxes outside of the hybrid setup without requiring a connection to the local Active Directory.
Web-based quarantine
Emails are automatically provided to users about their spam emails that were quarantined. Then users can log in and manage their own spam rather than this solely being managed by the admin.
Robust quarantine management
Allows users to manage quarantined messages via email notifications while administrators receive regular summary reports. Administrators can quickly delete or release incoming messages from a central quarantine. The integration with ESET PROTECT On-Prem centralizes email quarantine management, allowing administrators to handle quarantined emails from multiple instances in one place, streamlining the process and boosting efficiency.
Cluster support
ESET solutions support creating clusters, which allows products to communicate with each other and exchange configuration, notifications, greylisting database info and more. In addition, this supports Windows Failover Clusters and Network Load Balancing (NLB) clusters to allow for Enterprise-grade protection.
